Insurance, Fees, and Financial Policies
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Members:
We are in-network with all HMO and PPO CareFirst plans from Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia, including the Federal CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield plan.
We are an in-network Cigna provider. Please contact Cigna to confirm that we are a provider you may chose under your specific plan.
If you have insurance that is not CareFirst or Cigna, it may be possible for your health insurance to cover a part of your treatment. If you plan on using your out-of-network insurance benefits, you must make payment in full of our fees as listed below and then seek reimbursement from your insurance on your own.
Please note that we do not accept any other form of insurance other than CareFirst or Cigna.

Sliding Fee Scale:
We also have a percentage of appointments for those needing a sliding scale for fee calculation. These appointments are first-come, first-served, and are limited in number. Please get in touch with us for possible availabilities and more information.
The No Surprises Act:
If you are uninsured or insured but self-pay, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much non-emergency items or services will cost. We will provide patients who do not have insurance or do not use insurance an estimated bill for psychotherapy services.
You have the option to use telehealth for your sessions. We use a HIPAA-compliant, interactive voice and video program for telehealth delivery. Telehealth availability will also extend beyond the COVID-related emergency orders. We offer telehealth sessions throughout Maryland and South Carolina.
We accept all major debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) as forms of payment.
HSA and FSA usage:
Many health savings accounts (HSA) or flexible spending accounts (FSA) may also provide reimbursement for therapy services from the funds you elect. Contact your HSA or FSA plan administrator for more details. If you have an FSA or HSA account, we can accept HSA and FSA cards as a form of payment.
You must cancel all sessions with 24 hours’ notice. Giving 48 hours advance notice is preferred. You may receive appointment reminders via email, text message, or email and text message.
